Faughni Mackerel also know as Kambong 甘望魚 Caught at Woodland Jetty
Faughni Mackerel [Rastrelliger Faughni] also know as Kambong 甘望魚 [Chinese] or Ikan Temenung, Rumahan, Mabong, Kembung Lampai [Malay] is often see swimming in school around the jetty during year end. They move with the current and feed from midwater to surface which often can be seen and heard from a distance away. Can be caught using sabiki jigs or Tamban jigs [local name] but are more effective with use of small shrimps. Berlying some bait will help keep the school from moving on with the current.
