Spanish Mackerel know as Ba Dong 巴冬 or Tenggiri Batang Caught at Woodland Jetty

Narrow-barred Spanish Mackerel [Scomberomorus Commerson] also know as Ba Dong 巴冬 [Chinese] or Tenggiri Batang [Malay] is often see swimming in school around the jetty on monsoon season. They move with the current and feed from midwater to surface which often can be seen and heard from a distance away. Can be caught using sabiki jigs or Tamban jigs [local name] but are more effective with use of small shrimps. Berlying some bait will help keep the school from moving on with the current. Word of precaution they have sharp teeth.
